Gwyneth Paltrow's children call Jay-Z "uncle." The "Iron Man" actress and her husband Chris Martin are friends with the rapper and his wife Beyonce Knowles, and have grown so close recently their kids - daughter Apple, four, and two-year-old son Moses - have begun to regard them as family.

A source is quoted as saying: "They are becoming really close pals with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Gwyneth's kids call him 'Uncle Jay' and she and Chris were special guests at Jay-Z's wedding."

Gwyneth Paltrow was so scared when she had pneumonia she "nearly collapsed." The "Two Lovers" actress - whose father Bruce Paltrow died of the inflammatory lung illness in 2002 - was horrified when she was told she was suffering from the condition as she thought she was going to die.

Gwyneth told People magazine: "When I fell ill with pneumonia last year the fear of dying sort of swept over me to the degree that I lost my sight for a second and I nearly collapsed."

Gwyneth Paltrow has joked "we are all" taking Class C drugs. The famously clean-living actress has spoken about her close friend Courtney Love's battle with illegal substances, hinting she has also experimented with drugs.

Speaking about Courtney, Gwyneth told Britain's Elle magazine: "I don't think she's on Class A narcotics anymore. Maybe just Class C. That's no big deal - aren't we all, ha, ha, ha!"

Gwyneth Paltrow's new gym is so exclusive her mother doubts she will be allowed membership. Blythe Danner has revealed hundreds of people are keen to sign up at the fitness emporium in New York's Tribeca district, meaning she may not be able to join.

She joked: "Gwyneth has got something like 800 people that have joined. I hope I can get a membership! I haven't seen it yet, but it's going to be gorgeous for sure - just like Gwyneth's style."
