"Iron Man" star Gwyneth Paltrow is happy that she has retained her status in showbiz even after "younger" and "prettier" stars enter Hollywood.

Paltrow, 35, was scared that she might be replaced by other female actresses after she gave birth to daughter Apple in 2006 and to son Moses in 2006.

She was quoted by showbizspy.com as saying, "I've been away from Hollywod for a long time and so I'm pleased to have been remembered. They are so many younger, prettier actresses in Hollywood that I didn't think producers would pick me."

"Hollywood does have a short memory and can forget about you."

The actress married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2003. She is currently starring in the comic book action flick "Iron Man" co-starring Robert Downey Jr.
