Gwyneth Paltrow has had the best few years of her life. No, she hasn't been starring in Hollywood blockbusters or winning Academy Awards, the blonde star has been acting as a housewife and mother.
The mother of two told Oprah that staying at home with her husband and children has been a refreshing change, however she is getting ready to go back to work this year.
The Oscar winner said, "I'm really looking forward to it as an artist and as somebody who that part of me has been dormant for a long time."
Paltrow announced her comeback to the screen by appearing at the 79th Academy Awards in a jaw-dropping Zac Polson gown.
Talking to Oprah's friend and closest confidant, Gayle King, backstage at the Kodak Theatre, Paltrow said, "I've been at home being a housewife, which is amazing and I've loved every second of it...It's 24 hours a days, seven days a week and they want you present and real and connected and there - but it's been the best three years of my life."
The actress, who is married to "Coldplay" front man Chris Martin, has two children - Apple and Moses.
The "Shakespeare In Love" star will be seen on screen in 2008 with ex-fiance Brad Pitt in "Dirty Tricks."
