Environmentalist and actor Leonardo DiCaprio is calling for people to help make the world a cleaner place.
The "Titanic" star has posted a statement on "Yahoo! Answers" website after Global Green USA invited him to question the American public.
DiCaprio, who serves on "Greens" board of directors, wrote, "We can all be environmentalists. Creating communities online that are interested in discussing and embracing smart, simple and serious solutions reminds us we can all take action in our own homes and where we work."
President and chief executive of Global Green USA says that DiCaprio is a welcomed member of the fight against global warming because of the attention he brings.
He says, "It's meant to provoke thought about what people can do in their own lives and what leaders can do to take us in a different course. We're fortunate to have (DiCaprio) on our board because he can help shine the light on the challenge, shine the light on the experts and shine the light on the solutions."
The Oscar nominated actor has been vocal in his support for helping the environment, including owning a Toyota Hybrid car.
