Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton challenges John Mayer to a lie-detector test after the singer-songwriter blasted his claims that they had shared a smooching session while Mayer's then girlfriend Jessica Simpson watched.
According to the blogger, real name Mario Lavendeira, the "Your Body Is A Wonderland" singer had kissed him for five minutes in December 2006 at an intimate New Year's Eve party.
Lavendeira tells In Touch magazine, "There was chemistry between John and I. He sang in my ear. It turned me on."
Simpson apparently watched during the episode watched. He continues, "John said, 'I'm going to outdo Perez tonight' and kissed me for five minutes."
The self-proclaimed Queen of All Media says he's disclosing this now because he feels like "John has taunted me in his recent blogs."
Mayer's rep shrugs off the story saying, "This is completely ridiculous."
But Perez is adamant about his tale saying, "I would definitely take a lie-detector test and challenge him to take one, too, if he denies it."
"My friends have encouraged me to come forward and talk about it openly. Last week I wrote on my blog, 'Hey John, we will always have that night at Stereo' - and this is what I was referring to."
