Alexander McQueen was honored at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala ball last night (02.05.11).

The tragic designer - who committed suicide last year - was cited as the theme of the event which marked the launch of the New York museum's Savage Beauty exhibition, charting his career.
