Gillian Anderson has added a new addition to her family. The red-head actress recently became a new mom and gave birth to a baby boy.
Her manager, Connie Freiberg, revealed that the "X Files" star delivered the tot, her first child with her businessman boyfriend Mark Griffiths, on November 1 in London.
The couple have named the baby Oscar Griffiths and although he was born three weeks early, Freiberg insists both mother and baby are "just fine" and the "entire family are extremely happy."
The 38-year-old is now planning to take several months off on maternity leave before returning to acting. However, her joy has been tarnished by the news that her estranged husband Julian Ozanne is set to demand a paternity test.
Anderson split from photojournalist and filmmaker Ozanne in April - after being married for less than two years - and just three months later, Anderson announced she was expecting a baby with Griffiths.
Ozanne is not convinced the baby is definitely not his and is set to ask for a paternity test.
A source said, "Julian wants to be sure. The timing is pretty close. He has spoken to several people about this and they have all told him to get a paternity test carried out - which he is seriously thinking about."
Anderson already has an 11-year-old daughter, Piper, from her first marriage to Canadian television art director Clyde Klotz.
