George Michael can thank his lucky stars that he is off the hook (sort of) and now a free man. At a courthouse sentencing on Friday, a British judge ruled that the singer will not have to spend any time behind bars for a DUI charge of drugs.

It is not clear if District Judge Katherine Marshall has decided what other form of penalty - or punishment - the boy toy will have to face. However, reports say he has been sentenced to complete 100 hours of community service and won't be allowed to get behind the wheel for two years.

George Michael had a cocktail of drugs in his system when he was arrested in his car last year, a court heard on Thursday.

Prosecutor Andrew Torrington told North London's Brent Magistrates court that tests showed a therapeutic amount of an anti-depressant in the singer's system along with illegal dance club drug GHB.

It was fairly predictable considering how much work I had done that week."
