| George Michael can thank his lucky stars that he is off the hook (sort of) and now a free man. At a courthouse sentencing on Friday, a British judge ruled that the singer will not have to spend any time behind bars for a DUI charge of drugs. It is not clear if District Judge Katherine Marshall has decided what other form of penalty - or punishment - the boy toy will have to face. However, reports say he has been sentenced to complete 100 hours of community service and won't be allowed to get behind the wheel for two years. | |
| George Michael had a cocktail of drugs in his system when he was arrested in his car last year, a court heard on Thursday. Prosecutor Andrew Torrington told North London's Brent Magistrates court that tests showed a therapeutic amount of an anti-depressant in the singer's system along with illegal dance club drug GHB. | |
| George Michael has spent $27 million on art this month. The "Fastlove" singer snapped up works by controversial artist Damien Hirst - adding to his private collection which is now worth a reputed $108 million. | | | |
| George Michael stepped out of court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to an unfit driving incident of last year. The singer says his careless driving was a result of being too tired and heavily influenced by drugs. According to the Associated Press, he told the judge, "I am perfectly aware that I did something very wrong and got into my car when I was unfit to drive. I was not in my normal physical state and I'm perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment for that and I would have accepted it a long time ago. It was fairly predictable considering how much work I had done that week." | |
| George Michael wants to be the "Robin Hood of pop." The "Fast Love" singer wants to earn as much money as possible from private performances, so he can make his music available for free to everyone else. | |
