George Michael stepped out of court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to an unfit driving incident of last year. The singer says his careless driving was a result of being too tired and heavily influenced by drugs.
According to the Associated Press, he told the judge, "I am perfectly aware that I did something very wrong and got into my car when I was unfit to drive. I was not in my normal physical state and I'm perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment for that and I would have accepted it a long time ago. It was fairly predictable considering how much work I had done that week."
The case stems from an incident last October when George - real name George Panayiotou - was found "slumped over the wheel of the car" and blocking a London intersection. He was arrested on the scene.
The Crown Prosecution Service let go of another charge of being in charge of a vehicle while unfit this past October.
More blood tests are currently underway, delaying the singer's sentencing until later this month.
