George Clooney may be the "Sexiest Man Alive" but being a celebrity doesn't mean life is suddenly one big party.
George has been in the movie business long enough to know the industry doesn't always lead a fair game. The salt-and-pepper-haired star insists making it in Hollywood doesn't mean everything is suddenly filled with champagne and roses.
The charming actor admits he was driven by fame when he was younger, but then quickly realized Tinseltown isn't always everything it's cracked out to be.
Speaking to the New York Daily News, he said, "I think when you're young and getting started, fame is like a bug light - you're driven toward success so intensely as an actor because you're pointed that way. And when you get it, you realize most of the things that you thought would be great are not. And that's not whining, or saying 'Woe is me.'
Now George understands the kind of position he's in and has worked so hard to achieve.
He added, "The greatest thing about being in the position I'm in is, I can walk into a movie studio and say, 'I want to make a black-and-white film noir,' and they'll make it because they don't want me to go someplace else. And that's great. (But) there are other parts that aren't so fun."
