"KISS" rock star Gene Simmons called a wounded Israeli soldier in Lebanon a "hero" after his courageous ongoing battle in the Middle East. The rock star sent the man a video of well-wishes, thanking him and sending a special message in his native Hebrew.

According to Reuters, the wounded soldier, Ron Weinrech, a tank crewman, was paralyzed from below the chest two weeks ago, in a fight against Hezbollah guerrillas. He has been hospitalized and undergoing treatment near Tel Aviv.
