Gary Barlow has rubbished rumors Robbie Williams is rejoining Take That. The 36-year-old singer confirmed he made peace with his old rival over dinner in Los Angeles, but denied there were any plans for him to reunite with his former bandmates.
He told British TV show 'GMTV': "Yes, we met. We had a great chat. He's really well and we're good buds again. It was the best meet-up we've had since 1996."
When asked about Robbie reuniting with the foursome - Gary, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange - for their 22-date 'Beautiful World Tour' later this year, he insisted: "No he won't be rejoining."
Robbie, 33, and Gary have been feuding since 1995 - a year before the band split - when the 'Rudebox' singer left the group to pursue a solo career.
Some sources have suggested Robbie - who previously snubbed the band's requests for him to join them on their comeback tour last year - only buried the hatchet with Gary because he wants to take advantage of Take That's success as his career continues to falter.
One insider said: "Robbie didn't want anything to do with Gary after he left and even at their comeback last year.
"It seems a bit strange that he has suddenly changed his mind. Perhaps he now needs Take That to revive his career."
