Former 70's pop star Leif Garrett has agreed to enter rehab, resulting from being caught red handed with violating probation by possessing heroin.
The ex-teen idol was released from jail by a Superior Court commissioner, who also commended him for choosing the option. Between jail and rehab, that's pretty much a no-brainer - even to a heroin addict.
Leif has had stints in rehab, for which he failed, but according to Jane Robinson, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office - this diversion program for which Leif will enroll, is much more intense. "It's frequent testing and daily counseling, and lasts a minimum of a year," Robinson adds.
