Her famous parents were associated with the rock n' roll lifestyle but Frances Bean Cobain insists she's not her parents.
The daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain makes her fashion spread debut in the March edition of Harper's Bazaar magazine.
"Frances grew up on musicals. I think musicals comfort her," her mother tells the magazine why it's just appropriate for her daughter to star as Evita, Beauty and the Beast, and Grease on the fashion shoot. "She's a gay man trapped in a woman's body, like me."
The 15-year-old brunette is aware of expectations of her just because she's got celebrities for parents. "I get it, I really do. But at the same time it's creepy.
"These people are fascinated by me, but I haven't done anything. If you're a big Nirvana fan, a big Hole fan, then I understand why you would want to get to know me, but I'm not my parents," Cobain insists.
"People need to wait until I've done something valid with my life."
Cobain also shares what her plans are with that "something valid." She is captivated with Broadway and admires Dita Von Teese's style. She's also thinking about photography and journalism.
"I'm taking my time. But I get asked what I want to do all the time because of my parents, because of the life I live."
