Jael Strauss, America's Next Top Model Cycle 8 finalist, has settled her lawsuit. The 22-year-old contestant on the model search competition had filed an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against her former agent Christopher Donahue and a photographer named Marc Baptiste for publishing without permission her nude pictures when she was still a minor.
The terms of the settlement were not revealed.
The said suit was filed in July in L.A. Superior Court. The model wannabe insisted that Baptiste took her racy pictures in 2000, when she was only 16, for his book, 'Beautiful: Nudes by Marc Baptiste.' The nude pictures were apparently taken without permission from Strauss' parents.
Donahue was involved in the suit, as well as Rizzoli/Universe Publications, for signing off the book without notifying her. The pictures had appeared on the Internet when Strauss had made it as one of the finalists in the Tyra Banks-hosted show, which the lawsuit claimed, "damaged [Strauss] in the beginning of her entertainment career and caused severe damage to her public image."
Strauss also claimed that Baptiste offered her alcohol during the shoot to help her relax and "inquired whether Jael would like to have sex with him." Strauss had declined.
