Farrah Fawcett is preparing to battle cancer and a tabloid at the same time.

The former "Charlie's Angels" star has recently learned that her cancer, which was in remission, has returned. However, The National Enquirer newspaper broke the story before she was able to inform close family and friends.

The actress is also filing a suit against the tabloid because of a story they ran in December 2006, which claimed that she wanted to die.

Farrah's publicist, Craig Nevius, released a statement saying, "While Farrah is prepared to continue the fight she began last fall, she is not prepared to allow the tabloids to continue to invade her privacy or use one confirmed truth as the foundation on which to build numerous fabricated articles.

"Stories and headlines such as the National Enquirer's December 18th cover claiming 'Farrah Begs: Let Me Die' can only be regarded as knowingly false and purposefully malicious. Not only have these and other lies been hurtful to Farrah and her family but, as per her doctors, they have been potentially harmful to her recovery."

The star has been supported during her health crisis by former boyfriend Ryan O'Neal.
