It's funny to see Jared Leto's transition from pretty boy in the '90s hit show "My So-Called Life" to banged up, make-up rocker today, who just can't seem to get a grip on things.
Although we all know Jared broke his nose after an attempt at crowd-surfing backfired on him, sources now say he initially threw himself into a swarm of fans.
The "Fight Club' star broke his nose during a Texas concert with his band 30 Seconds to Mars last Thursday. It was initially claimed the accident happened after Leto was "rushed by the crowd", but one audience member has now revealed the 35-year-old actor dove off the stage and no one caught him.
The witness told the New York Post, "He flung himself directly off the stage into the crowd and nobody in the crowd caught him. We were given no warning. Jared landed really hard on the ground, and people were accidentally stepping on him."
Leto - who also suffered minor injuries to his foot, face and torso - was helped back onto the stage by security and finished the show, but visited the hospital afterwards.
A representative for the "Chapter 27" actor said, "Jared did not jump onto the crowd. He went into the audience while singing 'The Kill.' His injuries were a result of the crowd rushing towards him in their excitement to be close to him."
Leto and his band were performing in the Taste of Chaos tour, with other bands including The Used and Senses Fail.
