Heath Ledger would have celebrated his 29th birthday Friday, but instead the day of his birth came and went with friends trying to come to grips with the actor's death. Ledger died on January 22 of an accidental mixture of prescription drugs.
In Australia, the Ledger family kept a low profile on Heath's birthday and no notices were placed in the newspaper. Friends of the family said the family was getting by day-by-day.
Also keeping a low profile was Michelle Williams, mother of Heath's 2-year-old daughter Matilda. Williams was busy in Boston, working on the film "Shutter Island," based on the book.
The DEA investigation into how Heath obtained the powerful addictive painkillers is still ongoing and may take several more weeks.
