Lindsay Lohan better be hoping that her future judge is kinder than the legal eagles already giving their two cents on her current woes.
The starlet is facing her second DUI charge in as many months after being pulled over just 11 days after leaving rehab, reportedly sober. When she was stopped, Lindsay was over the legal alcohol limit and had cocaine in her pocket.
Since the incident everyone from Billy Baldwin to defense attorney's have weighed in on the drama. Between the outsiders and the Lohan family insiders, Lindsay's big mistake has been a hot topic.
One legal expert believes that there are many options to punish the "Mean Girls" star sides rehab. They said, "If you get a DUI when you are facing another DUI, the judge sometimes imposes you to some pretty harsh conditions. The court is going to view you as a very serious danger to the public. They could order that you be confined to your house because you are a danger."
"They could order you to do rehab, but they probably won't in this case because she has already done that and it wasn't successful. They could order that she have no alcohol in her house and that she attend alcohol meetings daily."
Attorney Susan Estrch has no leniency for the star. She said, "The prosecutor should throw the book at her. She had every advantage, and she blew it. Her life was most girls' dream come true, and she took it for granted, abused her status, turned her fame into a license to ignore the rules and live above the law. She is entitled to the presumption of innocence, but she also deserves to be charged with every possible crime, and given the maximum penalty when she is found guilty."
"I have 'compassion' for poor kids raised by crack mothers who can't afford fancy rehab centers on the beach and don't have publicists to explain away their bad behavior and rich friends to bail them out and fancy lawyers and doctors to create excuses for their actions or invent trumped-up disabilities to get them special treatment in jail."
The attorney says that whether the cocaine was Lindsay's or not, she is in some serious trouble. She said, "If the cocaine wasn't hers, then she should be charged with illegally transporting it. Either way, it's a felony, punishable by prison time, not a few Paris Hilton-like days in jail."
