Wednesday was a day that ultimately ended up in flames for Evangeline Lilly - literally.

Her representative, Cara Tripicchio, confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that the "LOST" star's rented home in Kailua, Hawaii suddenly went ablaze and was completely destroyed by a fire in the early morning hours. A call to dispatch firefighters was made shortly before 7 a.m.

Tripicchio said, "Yes, it is unfortunately true that her home in Hawaii burned down this morning. Thankfully, Evangeline is safe as she was on set already when it occurred. There is no official statement, and I have no further comment or information to provide at this time."

The Hawaii residence was shared by Lilly and two women from the crew of the hit TV show. Thankfully nobody was home at the time of the tragedy - two women were at work and the other wasn't in the island.

Hololulu Fire Captain Kenison Tejada said when his team arrived at the residence, six minutes after receiving an emergency call, only the roof still remained intact. He admits the house devastation was a "complete loss."

Neighbor Morgan Janus told the Honolulu Advertiser newspaper that he sensed something was wrong immediately, saying, "I woke up to my dogs barking. There were loud popping sounds, like something electrical."

No injuries were reported.

It sounds like that was a strong fire that took little time to burn up the house. I wonder how big the house was.
