This isn't the way Evangeline Lilly was supposed to start her early Christmas festivities. But even through her recent devastation, the actress has been a champ and put on a brave face with the help of her boyfriend.
Lilly recently returned to her ruined home after it suddenly went ablaze earlier this week.
The "Lost" star and her boyfriend Dominic Monaghan searched through what remained of the rented house, only to find scraps of little to nothing at all. Shocking enough, the residence was completely destroyed in a matter of 30 minutes.
When the couple arrived at the scene, they had flashlights in hand to help sort through the damage. They were also said to have been wearing gloves for protection.
Miraculously, a few personal items were found and retrieved on site.
Several photographers showed up to get a glimpse of the devastation, but Lilly managed to put on a smile as she walked on by.
Thankfully nobody was home during the fire, nor was anybody reported to be injured. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the flames.
