Eminem slams his autobiography publisher. The rapper superstar's label, Interscope Records, has lashed out at Orion Publishing Group, the U.K-based publisher who will handle his autobiography, for talking hastily about his book.
"It's unfortunate that someone who does not have intimate knowledge of [the project] felt compelled to jump the gun on announcing it by delivering partial and inaccurate information," the label says in a statement adding that there is no firm release date of the book.
The statement came in response to Orion's announcement about Eminem's soon-to-be-released revealing tome. According to the publisher, the memoir entitled 'Eminem: The Way I Am' will hit the bookstands on October 16.
"Everyone has their own take on Eminem. Because of where he is from, people think they know where he is at, what kind of person he really is. The book cuts through all that and gets to the source," Orion's senior commissioning editor Ian Preece says. "It has an edge. It'll be one of the books of the year."
The 35-year-old 'Slim Shady' singer is expected to divulge his life behind the stage on the book, which will also feature never-before-released photographed, sketches, and journal notes. It will detail his life as a trailer park resident to a multi-award winning artist.
