Eminem wanted to kill himself at the height of his addiction problems. The "We Made You" rapper - who is set to release his new LP "Relapse" following a three-year-break from music - admits he briefly considered committing suicide while struggling with his alcohol and drug problems.

He told British TV talk show host Jonathan Ross: "I just wasn't taking care of myself, at times I wanted to just give it up."

Mariah Carey's husband has called Eminem a "homophobic has-been." Nick Cannon is upset over the song "Bagpipes From Baghdad" on Eminem's latest album "Relapse," which suggests Mariah - who briefly dated the controversial rapper - should split up with him.

He wrote on his blog: "Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife. The same female that wouldn't let him get to second base from 8 years ago."

Eminem almost died of a methadone overdose. The "We Made You" rapper relapsed in 2005 following an unsuccessful stint in rehab for an addiction to sleeping medication when a friend gave him a handful of unidentified blue tablets.

He said: "My doctor told me those mysterious new pills were methadone, which is used to wean heroin addicts off dope. Had I known it was methadone, I probably wouldn't have taken it. But as bad as I was back then, I can't even say 100 percent for sure."

Eminem stopped making music after his drug abuse spiraled out of control. The "We Made You" rapper decided to step out of the spotlight in 2005 in a bid to beat his addiction after an unsuccessful stint in rehab.

He said: "I wasn't ready mentally. I wasn't ready to give up the drugs. I didn't really think I had a problem. Basically, I went in, and I came out. I relapsed, and I spent the next three years struggling with it. Also, at that time, I felt like I wanted to pull back, because my drug problem had got so bad."

Snoop Dogg wants to make "gangsta pop" with Miley Cyrus. The rap star - who has just finished producing and performing on a Johnny Cash Remixed album - is open to experimenting with new styles of music and would happily collaborate with the 16-year-old singer, as well as pop trio the Jonas Brothers.

When asked if he would work with the Disney favorites, Snoop replied: "Hell yeah. We can make some gangsta pop music."

Dido "struggled to cope" with stardom. The 36-year-old singer admits her sudden acceleration into the spotlight was surreal and she has not released anything since 2003 record Life for Rent because she was adjusting to fame.

She said: "When I got back from touring, it took a while to take in what had happened. I was so unprepared."
