Elvis Costello and Diana Krall are expecting a baby.
The Canadian jazz singer and her British rocker husband announced on Sunday that their first child together is due in December - which coincidentally coincides with their third wedding anniversary on December 6.
The happy couple confirmed the news via a New York-based spokesman.
The 51-year-old Liverpudlian - who is ten years his wife's senior - is currently on tour with Allen Toussaint to promote their album, "The River In Reverse."
The record was inspired by the Katrina disaster, which devastated Toussaint's home city of New Orleans.
Costello said, "The album began in my mind as a songbook of Allen's work, but in those first weeks after Katrina, I thought maybe we could write some more songs that speak specifically about it."
The "Pump it Up" singer also praised his fellow musician's reaction to the tragedy.
He said, "Allen's optimism about the recovery has been remarkable. He's so stoic in the face of his losses."
Costello's pregnant wife plans to release a new album in September.
