Although many would probably like to hear the song one more time, Elton John says it's up to the royal members of the family.
Elton John has said he will sing "Candle In The Wind" at the Concert For Diana - if Britain's Princes Harry and William ask him.
The legendary songwriter is waiting for Diana's two sons to decide if they want him to perform the song he sang at their mother's funeral in 1997 at the memorial concert at London's Wembley stadium on July 1.
Elton told Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I'll do it if the princes want me to. I am at their service and if they think it is appropriate then I'll be OK for it. They'll tell me when they are ready."
The flamboyant singer originally wrote the song in 1974 about Marilyn Monroe.
His reworked charity version for Diana sold 33 million copies and he originally said that it would be "totally inappropriate" for him to perform it in public again.
Other acts on the line-up include Duran Duran, Joss Stone and Pharrell Williams.
Meanwhile, tickets for the commemorative show - which marks the 10th anniversary of Diana's death and takes place on her 46th birthday - sold out in 20 minutes.
Despite the huge popularity of the event, organizers have been left disappointed after many tickets - originally costing $60 - appeared on eBay for up to $660. However, eBay owners quickly removed the lots from the site as a mark of respect.
A spokesman for Clarence House said, "We are very pleased that eBay have taken this decision."
