Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi "looked ecstatic" as they married in an intimate ceremony on Saturday.

The couple - who have been dating since December 2004 - tied the knot in front of 19 guests, including Ellen's mother Betty and Portia's mother Margaret Rogers who flew in from Australia, at their home in Los Angeles.

Before the ceremony, during which Ellen, 50, and 35-year-old Portia read out handwritten vows, the pair posed for photographs.

A source said: "They were both hugging and kissing, and looked ecstatic. They were both laughing and walked all over the lawn together holding hands and posing. The whole afternoon seemed light-hearted."

Former 'Ally McBeal' actress Portia looked stunning in a backless, pale pink Zac Posen dress while US TV talk show host Ellen stuck to her signature style and wore an all-white trouser suit by the same designer.

During the ceremony, the couple exchanged rings by exclusive jeweler Neil Lane, who also designed Portia's three-carat diamond engagement ring.

In 2005, Ellen expressed her disbelief at having found a soulmate in Portia, adding: "I never would have thought my life would have turned out this way. To have money. Or to have a gorgeous girlfriend. I just feel so lucky with everything in my life right now."
