Eddie Married For New Year

Eddie Murphy has started the New Year as a married man.

The Oscar nominated actor wed his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds in a private ceremony on an island off Bora Bora.

"Shrek The Third" and "Dreamgirls" star Eddie and producer Tracey made their union official with an intimate New Years Day ceremony with just 25 guests made up of family and close friends.

R&B singer Johnny Gill was Eddie's best man.

The couple began dating after Eddie's relationship with Spice Girl Melanie Brown ended.

When he started dating Tracey, Eddie insisted that he had not fathered a child with the singer.

However, DNA tests proved otherwise.

According to PEOPLE, the couple became engaged in July.
