Daniel Craig has been voted the world's sexiest man, beating PEOPLE magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" George Clooney.
The British actor topped the poll, conducted by condom maker Durex, after showing off his toned muscles in his first outing as James Bond in the hit 007 adventure "Casino Royale."
The combination of Daniel's piercing blue eyes and rippling physique as he emerges from the sea in blue swimming trunks in the movie proved to be a major vote winner.
He beat off stiff competition from a host of Hollywood heartthrobs, including George Clooney and Johnny Depp, to win the coveted title.
A Durex spokesman said, "Daniel Craig is an obvious choice. He has all the attributes that make a real icon."
The survey - which polled 4,000 women - saw British men outnumbering U.S. stars eight-to-two in the top ten. "Sin City" actor Clive Owen finished as runner-up, while "The Holiday" star Jude Law came third.
George and Johnny flew the flag for the U.S. in fifth and sixth place.
Former James Bond Pierce Brosnan rounded off the top ten, just below "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor Orlando Bloom, singer Robbie Williams and soccer star David Beckham.
Others to make it into the top 100 included screen icon Robert Redford and music mogul Simon Cowell.
