Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, says she married the "best-looking prince of all." The 47-year-old royal described her 1986 wedding to Britain's Prince Andrew - who she divorced in 1996 - as the "happiest day of my life."

She told Canada's Toronto Sun newspaper: "I married the best prince of all, the best-looking, that's for sure.

"I went to my wedding in a glass coach with six white horses. It was such a great day, it was the happiest day of my life."

Despite still being very close to Andrew - the father of her two children, Princess Beatrice, 18, and Eugenie, 17 - she made clear that the couple had no plans to rekindle their romance.

She said: "He may be my ex-husband but he's still the finest man there is and the finest gentleman. Because we're divorced, everybody thinks you have to be at each other's throats. Well, news alert. You don't. In our case, it was more circumstances that split us up rather than the heart hurting.

"So then you're saying, 'Why aren't we back together' and my answer would be because we're happy the way things are."

Sarah also dismissed reports she had called her former-mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth "terrifying" while on "The View" this week.

She explained: "No, no, what I said was the woman is such an incredible woman, you're in such awe of an icon like that that even now to this day I still get gravel fever, which is when you want the gravel to be quiet because I still get very nervous before I go to see her."

First "Fergie" says that "You don't do better than Marrying a PRINCE" true but if it was that great, why couldn't SHE BE HAPPY? something was "Missing" She talks about ALL the members of the "Royal Family" as if SHE is still in "the Firm" her Daughter's may be Royals but that's it! who are You? a "Star" a "Royal"? I say make up Your mind and stop riding on the coat tails of the Man You Married and his Daughters (for w/out him they'd have NO ROYAL TITLE) they pay You to keep Your weight off? WOW You must be PROUD. come on? did You Mother expect more out of You than that? and the "Budgie" thing~?~ if You wouldn't have been a ROYAL when You wrote it you'd be broke, just how You came in!

Wow somene is seriously has issues with Sarah. Sarah Duchess of York and Prince Andrew had problems in their marriage, obviously. but at least they are mature enough to remain friends and move past the troubles they had in the past whatever they might have been. unlike the poster above.

I just finished reading My Story by Fergie and she seemed to be a very sincere person. The only reason for her and Prince Andrew's divorce was that she couldn't handle the harsh scrutiny of the press. She claims to still love him for him and not his title. In her book she DID give Diana the credit for introducing her to Andrew even though Sarah knew him as a child. Her father became friends with the Royal Family through polo.
