Drew Barrymore won't just let one traffic violator get away especially if she's the victim. The star followed a hit-and-run vehicle that had rear-ended her and got its license number.

Barrymore, 33, was driving near Gardner Street and Santa Monica Boulevard when a car tagged her and drove off. She followed the vehicle and successfully got its license plate number.

Sergeant Kristin Aloma of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station says the police are now trying to track down the driver.

The former child actress was not injured.

Barrymore is set to star in the self-help book-based film "He's Just Not That Into You," which is scheduled to be released on October 24.
