Carl Barat has revealed he is winning his battle with alcohol.

The Dirty Pretty Things front-man was hospitalized with pancreatitis - a painful condition which sees the pancreas become inflamed - in June and the illness was attributed to his excessive drinking.

Pete Doherty is hoping he and his friend can be on good terms for at least 24 hours so his big day can go by smoothly.
