It looks like Winona Ryder may be up to her old tricks again. According to the National Inquirer, Ryder was recently stopped outside of a CVS Pharmacy when she set off the alarm while walking out of the store.

The store has officially confirmed the report saying, "Winona had a bag of stuff, but she set off the theft alarm when she left the store. When a security guard stopped her, he found make-up she had not paid for. We took unpaid items back and she left the store."

When asked about the makeup, Ryder claimed, "I don't know how that happened."

The store decided not to press charges or cause a big scene and let the actress go without incident.

Ryder's publicist first denied that the incident happened, but after being told that a store employee confirmed it, she said she needed to check with her client again.

The actress was busted back in 2002 for shoplifting $5,000 worth of clothing from a Beverly Hills store. She claimed she was getting into character for an upcoming role. She was sentenced to 480 hours of community service.

I guess old habits die hard. Or maybe she is just preparing for another role.

Winona, you know what? After a sleepless night, I finally solved the enigma of that “shoplifting” incident at CVS.

You’re fond of shopping? Well, we all know that, all right.

When you go shopping, it’s not just for buying some food for dinner. When you go shopping, you buy a lot of stuff, all at once, like many others in Hollywood (Sarah Michelle Gellar, Salma Ayek, etc). The day you were caught shoplifting at CVS, you had gathered way too many articles at once. That you didn’t remember the make-up you had in your bag, as you mentioned, is all too normal. You picked this make-up, put it in your bag, and it probably slipped under some other stuff you had in that bag. The fact the matter is, you don’t use a “shopping list” for the kind of shopping you do, you just follow your instinct, listen to your heart and pick things as you see them. And at the end, you just forget all that you had selected during these shopping sprees (and please don’t take that as judgmental, it’s just a fact). What appeared to be shoplifting was just an incident, nothing intentional. You’re not kleptomaniac, you’re just easily distracted. Be careful with that Noni! Maybe next time, you should use a “shopping list”…

Winona, the cameras have captured your fateful acts. But sometimes a camera conveys the wrong impression, fails to represent the true intentions, because they observe the being, not the soul. You had the intention to pay, I am certain of that, and you simply forgot these articles sitting hidden in the bottom of your bag. And when you walked out, the electronic sensors detected these unpaid articles. That’s what you said happened, and that’s what you told the security crew. It’s all too frequent for stars like you, in Hollywood, to be stressed by the ever present impression of being watched, spied on almost, and one can quickly conclude to kleptomania, where in fact it’s strictly a distraction on your part. Winona, as I said, please pay attention when you go buy lots of things, do a list, stay focused, and you’ll stay out of trouble. I believe that’s the answer and the solution to this enigma.
