Leonardo DiCaprio refused to gamble on a recent trip to Morocco.

The 'Titanic' actor - who can command up to $20 million a movie - was staying at Marrakech's Es Saadi Gardens and Resort when he decided to visit the on-site casino.

However, the 33-year-old star wasn't ready to part with any large sums of cash and kept his bets to a minimum.

A source was quoted by Britain's Daily Express newspaper as saying: "People obviously expected a Hollywood superstar to be laying down some big bets but it turned out he wasn't much of a gambler. He didn't seem to pay out much at all."

Despite being one of the biggest stars in the world, only a few people recognised him.

The source added: "His face was hidden under a large baseball cap and nobody seemed to realise it was him. He only got rumbled when a little boy recognised him."

DiCaprio was in Morocco for the Marrakech Film Festival where director Martin Scorsese presented him with the Golden Star Award for his services to film.

DiCaprio and Scorsese have worked together on a number of films including 'The Departed', 'Gangs of New York' and 'The Aviator'.
