| Keane singer Tom Chaplin says Noel Gallagher is "stupid" for attacking his band. The Oasis guitarist recently branded Tom's band "s**t", but the vocalist insists it is time Noel, 41, grew up and learn to respect his peers. After being told what Noel had said about Keane at yesterday's Q Awards, Tom - who, along with his bandmates, collected the Best Track prize for single "Spiralling" at the London ceremony - told BANG Showbiz: "I can't be bothered with it to be quite honest. It's pointless in the world of music. In any other form of art nobody does that, it's just stupid." | | | |

The reclusive musician - who died at age 60 from health complications caused by his diabetes at his Cambridgeshire home last July - split the sizeable sum between his two brothers and two sisters, according to legal documents released on Wednesday. | |
| Pink Floyd singer-guitarist David Gilmour will release a cover of "Arnold Layne" in December in tribute to former bandmate Syd Barrett. Barrett was a founder member of Pink Floyd and an influential songwriter, who died this summer of pancreatic cancer. Gilmour announced the release of the solo album on his website. The album will contain three tracks: two versions of "Arnold Layne," Pink Floyd's first-ever single, plus an acoustic version of "Dark Globe" from Barratt's first solo album "The Madcap Laughs." | |
