David Archuleta, this year's "American Idol" runner-up, has been keeping busy working on a new album, preparing for this summer's "Idol" tour and updating his Myspace.
The 17-year-old has been keeping his fans up to date with news on the tour, his new album and what he did for Father's Day.
"I hope you guys had a great Father's Day yesterday. For Father's Day my dad, a friend of ours and I went to Soup Plantation for lunch haha. I actually really liked the food there," the singer wrote Monday. "We also had enough time in the day to go to church before the schedule started and lunch so that was neat to be able to do."
The "Imagine" singer also mentioned in an earlier entry that he is excited about recording his new album.
"We started working on the album this week, and have been looking through songs and seeing which ones we like," he said Saturday. "I've also been meeting with several songwriters and producers, and the whole thing has just been really exciting! I can't wait to see how things turn out in the end. We've found a song that I really like already too."
Archuleta added that tour rehearsals have "turned out well so far".
Last week, Archuleta posted his first video blog on his page. He thanked his fans in the video.
"It's just been great to see good feedback and to know all this work is worth it," said the teen.
"I just want to thank you guys so much for voting and watching, and everything you guys have done. You know, I wouldn't have been here without all of you."
