Daryl Hannah has been arrested. The 48-year-old actress was taking part in a protest against mountaintop coalmining - which sees the tops of mountains blown away to help miners get at deposits inside - during which a West Virginia road was blocked Tuesday.

Daryl - who is a long-term environmental activist - and 30 other people blocked traffic by sitting on a stretch of road outside a Massey Energy Company plant, prompting police to intervene.

Most celebrities hate getting old but not for actresses Laura Linney and Daryl Hannah who think they are lucky to be able to get past the dreaded age of 40.

43-year-old Linney believes that people need to be realistic and consider fortunate to come up so far.

The 46-year-old actress doesn't want to go down the same route as Angelina Jolie and Madonna and adopt from a different country, because she believes there are too many children in the U.S. who need a home.
