Daniel Craig's mother didn't want him to be an actor.

The 40-year-old star - who reprises his role as British spy James Bond for a second time in new movie "Quantum of Solace" - was advised by Carol not to give up studying for his A-levels in order to go to drama school when he was 16 because she was afraid he would not be successful.

Speaking at the royal world premiere - which was attended by Princes William and Harry - of new movie "Quantum of Solace" in London Wednesday night, Daniel told BANG Showbiz: "I find it very easy playing Bond. I think he's hilarious. He gets himself into some extraordinarily funny situations."

Wilson, the actor - who reprises his role as the British spy for a second time in the new movie - has eclipsed all of his predecessors, including Sir Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan, with his portrayal of 007.

Wilson told British radio station Heart FM: "He is the greatest Bond right now and the people love him."

Bond girl Olga Kurylenko got divorced twice in four years. The "Quantum of Solace" star has no regrets about her two failed marriages and insists the break-ups were just the "end to a story."

Olga said: "I don't see divorce as a failure. I see it as the end to a story. In a story, everything has an end and a beginning. We were born and we die. In between I think we try to live as best we can."

Daniel Craig says playing James Bond won't stop him getting married. The actor - who reprises his role as the British spy in upcoming movie "Quantum of Solace" - insists the character's lothario image won't deter him from proposing to long-term girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell.

When Daniel was asked on U.S. TV show "Extra," "Are you ever getting married, and if you did, would that hurt the Bond image?" he replied, "Why should it hurt the Bond image? It wouldn't. I don't think it would. And whether I'm going to get married, that's between me and the person I'm going to get married to."
