Nobody wants to cut him some slack and give him a chance to show the audience and critics alike that he's got what it takes to be "the" man himself - Bond... James Bond. And, quite frankly, Daniel Craig says he's getting fed up with the insults.
Craig recently said he has been bullied and attacked every since he landed the role of James Bond.
The British actor plays the suave spy for the first time in the new 007 movie "Casino Royale" but has been lambasted by some Bond fans for allegedly not being able to drive a manual car, not being able to play cards, hating guns and even for being blonde.
The 38-year-old star thinks the criticisms have been no better than playground bullying.
He told Britain's GQ magazine, "Some of the stuff that has been said has been as close to the playground as you can get. 'You've got big ears!' F***ing hell! But ask anyone who has been bullied, they know it hurts, it's not right. There's a part of me that would like to turn around and shove it up their a**e. Well the only way I can do that is to get it right. No one cares about this movie more than I do."
Craig has also struck back at some of the claims people have made against him.
The actor insists he can drive a manual car - and is actually better than most men when it comes to handling the top speeds.
He fumed, "I can drive a manual car. I flogged the a**e out of an Aston Martin DBS recently. I don't (sic) where it came from, it's f***ing made up. I don't have a car at the moment but the last car I had was an automatic. Sorry. But most posh cars are automatic."
