Cynthia Nixon wants her daughter to watch 'Sex and the City'.

The actress, who reprises her role as lawyer Miranda Hobbs in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the hit TV show, would have no problem with her 11-year-old daughter Samantha watching the sexually-explicit TV series.

She said: "She's certainly at an age where she would be interested in watching it, but she just hasn't asked me. Hopefully, one day she will."

Cynthia - who also has a five-year-old son, Charles, with ex-partner Danny Mozes - admits her daughter is "embarrassed" about her mother's most famous role.

The 42-year-old actress, who is now in a relationship with Christine Marinoni, added to New! magazine: "I think she's kind of used to fans now. I also think it embarrasses her with kids in her school a little bit. But I know she's also proud of me."

"I know it's hard to believe, but I do live a very regular, average life. I have my MetroCard for the subway and I wait at the bus stop like everyone else!"
