Kate Holmes has apparently angered Tom Cruise for insisting she be allowed to join the next season of the hit reality show "Dancing with the Stars."
Cruise reportedly doesn't approve of the idea because he hates reality TV. He has threatened Holmes to participate but Mrs. Cruise is determined to join.
The source says Holmes' friend Victoria Beckham has introduced her to fellow Spice Girl Melanie Brown who in turn arranged for her to meet with the show's producer. Brown had reportedly encouraged her to go for it but Cruise is so vehemently against the idea.
"Tom's dead against Katie going on," the source says. "Katie's sick and tired of Tom micro-managing her career and she's hired a private dance instructor."
The couple has been named second placer in Us Weekly magazine's Couple of the Year next to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
