Marcia Cross can now claim she is a real life housewife.
The not-so-desperate star has given birth to fraternal twins in Los Angeles on Tuesday after a pregnancy that brought many surprises.
The 44-year-old actress learned she was carrying two babies after she made her pregnancy public. Eventually, the star was ordered to bed rest for the remainder of her third trimester.
Cross's daughters, with husband Tom Mahoney, have been named Eden and Savannah. The TV star's publicist told the Associated Press, "Mother and babies are all doing well."
The stunning redhead was initially nervous about the prospect of welcoming two new additions to her family, however excitement soon took over her.
She said, "I won the lottery at my age to have two."
Cross' work schedule was moved around to fit in with her pregnancy. While her character on the show, Bree, was not expecting, the star was eventually too big to hide her stomach for the cameras. However, her doctor ordered bed rest made the crew come to her house.
Cross and Mahoney wed in 2005. After rediscovering fame on "Desperate Housewives", the actress was forced to deny she was gay because she was single.
