Criss Angel has given his opinion on Britney Spears' devilish performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
The illusionist was employed by the fallen pop star at one point to help choreograph a show stopping performance and officially launch herself back on the music scene.
However, the pair seemed to have creative differences and there were no illusions or magic tricks during Britney's performance of "Gimme More". The mother-of-two even failed to lip sync and dance properly.
Criss, who was romantically linked to the troubled star, has revealed why he stopped working with the singer. He told OK! magazine, "We were supposed to do a creation of stuff that we worked on and it took a lot of dedication and work to do the things that we wanted to do. Unfortunately for me, she didn't really want to put forth that type of effort."
Criss continued, "Basically I said, 'Don't worry about me. Do what you want to do. This is a big opportunity for you to do the VMAs, so if you don't feel it, go with something else.' And she chose to go with something else."
The star, who has been linked to Cameron Diaz, confirmed that he is still in Britney's life and there are no hard feelings. He said, "We're still friends and everything's cool."
