He is the man responsible for many failed "Idol" careers, but talent scout Simon Cowell is not a fan of one of the most successful showbiz journeys of all time.

The acid-tongued Brit, who judges both "American Idol" and England's "X Factor," has told Playboy magazine that he is not a fan of legendary folk singer Bob Dylan.

Cowell said Dylan "bores me to tears" and "plug my ears and run in the other direction" if Dylan had come to a talent show when he was beginning his music career.

However, one high selling artist does have his support.

Cowell compared the original "American Idol," Kelly Clarkson, to "a young Aretha Franklin" and added that he preferred her music to Dylan's.
