Courtney Love slams critics for bipolar reports. The Hole rocker has expressed her dismay over claims that she has bipolar disorder after she reported identity thieves bought a house using her late husband's name.
The 43-year-old singer filed a police complaint last week regarding conmen who used Kurt Cobain's social security number to buy a $3.2 million house in New Jersey last year. Also included was the allegation that the identity thieves opened more than a hundred credit cards in her name and stole $69 million from them and their daughter Frances Bean's trust fund.
But reports surface that the Los Angeles Police Department didn't take her seriously, which prompted the widow to strike back on her MySpace blog.
She writes: "God, people are batsh*t. and im not the one who is. and i hear now i am "Bi Polar" uhhh... that's more nuts than I will ever be." [sic]
Love adds, "I may be Eccentric, i certainly speak my mind and am slow to put out a record and I need to mean the work to ME, and im sure I am quite Nuerotic but "Bi Polar". That's just slander. I shoot straight from the hip and spellcheck has NOTHING to do with REALITY." [sic]
TMZ.com last week reports that the singer is simply delusional, citing a source.
The source said, "Courtney is simply (and possibly medically) delusional. [The LAPD] is not taking it seriously. [They] found out she's been diagnosed with bipolar disorder."
However, an LAPD spokesperson has told a New York newspaper that they are currently investigating the matter saying, "There is an ongoing investigation into the identity-theft and fraud issues Courtney is concerned about."
