Courtney Love has denied having a gastric band fitted.
The former Hole singer - who credits her weight loss of 44 pounds in just four months to macrobiotics and yoga - has denied rumors she resorted to weight loss surgery.
Courtney wrote on her website: "I couldn't get that surgery if I begged for it. I got my inspiration from Oprah Winfrey losing so much weight on Slim-Fast milkshakes."
The 42-year-old rocker also revealed she has rekindled her friendships with actresses Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow.
She also confessed she knows who will play the lead roles in a biopic about her and her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
She wrote: "I know who will star but cannot say. Very high-end and very A-list."
A source said last week: "Courtney's been telling people she has had gastric band surgery. She even said she has to sleep with a towel by her because the surgery makes her throw up all the time."
Oprah lost weight in 1988 on a medically supervised liquid diet using a supplement called Optifast.
