Colin Farrell speaks out about the role he has inherited from Heath Ledger. The 31-year-old actor tells Sydney newspaper The Daily Telegraph that getting Ledger's unfinished role is a "painful honor" to have.

"It makes me feel uncomfortable to think about it too much and get into it really here, but it's an incredibly painful honor to have, you know, and an honor I wish I wasn't bestowed, but an honor nonetheless," the actors says.

When the 28-year-old Ledger died in his New York apartment on January 22 this year, director Terry Gillian had to suspend the production of the film 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' until he could think of a way to salvage the film, in which Ledger had already started but was unable to finish. He thought of not just one, but three solutions in the persons of Farrell, Johnny Depp, and Jude Law. They have all signed on to play and share Ledger's character.

"It's about getting Heath's work out there, he's too good any of his work not to be seen, you know, and I'm really keen and looking forward to doing it and just doing the best job I can do."
