Many words have been used to describe actress Cate Blanchett but "freak" is not usually one of them.
According to George Clooney, however, the Australian actress is just that because of her incredible acting talents.
Promoting their Oscar contender film together, "The Good German", Oscar winner Clooney gave Blanchett a back handed compliment, saying "She's a freak of nature, that girl. Honestly, she can do anything."
The sexiest man alive, however, has dubbed the actress a sure thing to win the best actress at next years academy awards.
Blanchett took home a statue for best supporting actress for her role as Katherine Hepburn in "The Aviator".
The mother-of-two is currently splitting her time between promoting the film and beginning her new job as director of the prestigious Sydney Theatre Company.
She told reporters the press conference in New York, "I'll be away for a week and then I'll go back and be bossy and give a lot of notes."
