Claire Danes Supports Use Of Anti-Depressants

Claire Danes has joined Brooke Shields' war of words with Tom Cruise, saying she supports the use of anti-depressants.

The sexy actress has made a veiled attack on the Hollywood heavyweight who slammed those who use drugs to combat depression.

Danes is quoted by America's MSNBC website as saying: "A lot of my friendsare on them and a lot of my friends have been served by antidepressants. It's great when it frees somebody from the oppression of that awful, darkfeeling so that they can really start investigating consciously what it isthat's ailing them. That's my stand."
