Singer Christina Aguilera has blamed her designer Roberto Cavalli for tricking her into wearing fox fur onstage after the singer received an email from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Before the singer went on stage PETA activists reportedly sent a link to a video showing foxes getting killed by anal electrocution for their fur.
However, the singer quickly replied, saying she was "very upset" by it and insists that she "only wears fake fur."
According to SF Gate news, Aguilera has reportedly replaced the stole for a fake fur version for her upcoming concerts in Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic this month.
Cavalli is designing all the outfits for the singer's current world tour, and was reportedly instructed by Aguilera not to include any real animal fur.
However, the Italian couturier told Women's Wear Daily he sent her a stole made from real white fox fur, which she subsequently wore during a show in Europe.
