Although Britney Spears may have given up on her marriage, Christina Aguilera says she can get through any obstacle with her husband because they're tied to the hip and completely in love.

Newlywed Christina says marriage isn't sugar-coated with lollipops and rainbows as it may initially appear. The platinum-blonde recently said matrimony consists of normal ups and downs just like any other relationship and one has to be truly committed in order for it to work.

The red lipstick fanatic has only been married to music executive Jordan Bratman for less than a year but has already witnessed the challenges of living life together as one.

In an interview with DigitalSpy she said, "I think it is hard. You're surprised and disappointed by certain things in your first year. I think the biggest misconception is that everything is going to be perfect and nothing will go wrong."

However, little bitty Christina says she's in the relationship for the long haul and she's not going to let anything deter her feelings for Mr. Prince Charming.

She added, "But we have a strong bond. I'm prepared to grow old with this man. We look forward to the ups and downs."
